Philippa is very approachable, friendly and makes GCSE English much more interesting and alive, always engaging and able to provide constructive analysis and structure. She provides good feedback and ideas to improve essay writings as well as tips to give better speeches with more confidence and flair. For Literature, she helped me to explore themes and develop detailed character profiles with quotes and analysis. She is very flexible with the times and always tries to fit your schedule alongside her very busy timetable.

Excellent tutor! Helped me with my A Level for the past two years. Phillippa puts in effort both on and off of calls, creating and editing entire documents tailored specifically to my work. She knows the answer to any question I ask, and always encourages my involvement. Not only is she excellent at teaching English (and the skill of teaching in general) but she is really friendly and easy to talk to, making the tutor sessions even more entertaining. I would take Philippa over my school English teacher any day!

Philippa taught my daughter GCSE English for only 6 months, which greatly improved my daughter's English performance, especially her writing improved very quickly, which made her more confident! She is a good teacher. My daughter likes her very much. And now she can only take classes online, but she has prepared sufficient teaching materials for each class. The class is very motivating. My daughter likes to go to class with her very much ! My daughter and I are very happy that we can meet her and study happily with her!

Philippa tutors my daughter for GCSE. I have seen an excellent progress in her and her attitude towards English language. She has now started enjoying English and her writing skills also improved. I took general and business english classes with Philippa for about 15 months. We took the english classes with two friends from Woking that had similar english level. When I started the classes with her I was looking for improving my English level for work and refine my verbal and writing communication skills. Philippa understood the needs of us as students very well. She prepared every week excellent study materials and adapted the class to the appropriate English level we were expecting. I liked very much Philippa’s teaching method, she is very creative and passionate teacher. The classes were very dynamic, practical and interesting. I not only learned English but as well general language communication and writing skills (that I can even apply in Spanish!) and interesting bits from other various topics. Philippa also helped me to prepare for the final exam of my yoga teacher training course. I had to deliver a yoga class so I needed to be able to give correct and clear instructions in English. We had a good time doing a mock yoga class in summer where she gave me very valuable feedback, corrected my pronunciation and helped me to built confidence before my exam. Thanks Philippa!

Philippa has been teaching my 15yr old daughter GCSE English for over a year and has absolutely transformed my daughters approach and grades such that from it was previously one of her weakest areas and is now her strongest!!. Philippa teaches with great enthusiasm and passion that just enthuses whoever she teaches as she has done with my daughter. She is very adept at making them feel comfortable with new learning approaches and also sensitively adjusting to the external demands that encroach on being a teenager. Philippa is a consummate professional and one of the best teachers I have witnessed and I speak from personal experience working in both a health and educational setting. She makes learning fun which is soo critical. I truly can not recommend her highly enough!!!

I first met Philippa in June 2016 when I needed to complete IELTS A1 exam. She guided me through the A1 exam and I passed successfully. When I learn with Philippa I feel more confident and I'm not nervous. I've continued to learn with Philippa throughout the year. She is an absolutely fantastic teacher and I would recommend her for anyone who is struggling to learn English!!!

I met Philippa in the summer of 2014 during my study in England. She is a lovely person and a very good teacher always ready to encourage you when you make a mistake and ready to find the right mix between accuracy and fun during a lesson.
